We work across all areas of the community including working with our local governments, schools and civic organizations.
There are currently three sub-Committees of The Pelham Green Task Force working on different projects. These include:
Grassroots/Community Outreach Committee:
This committee works with various community organizations to bring worthwhile events and initiatives to our community that are within the scope of our mission. Upcoming events are as follows:
In tandem with the governments of both Villages, Pelham and Pelham Manor, The Pelham Green Task Force is participating in a Town-wide Clean-up Day on Saturday, April 26th. Volunteers are needed!!
By working with with the Town of Pelham Government and the Pelham Chamber of Commerce,, we are launching the First Annual Eco-Alley at The Pelham Street Fair on Saturday, June 7th where GREEN vendors will be exhibitors at this event. Come find out how you can save money, use less energy and be more GREEN!!
Education Outreach Committee:
Working with both the School System and the Community at large, this committee brings a series of Speakers that have expertise in different areas of conservation, environmental law, etc. Lectures and events that are open to the community are listed on this site, sent via email to all of the members of our mailing list and posted in The Pelham Weekly.
Municipal Government Outreach Committee:
This Committee works with our local municipal governments. These are initiatives that may have been launched in neighboring communities that we want to bring to Pelham. We work with our local governments and school system to promote and effect energy conservation, and green energy consumption and green building at the municipal level.
